What are you most proud of doing while at W&J?

I’m most proud of giving a Tom Talk at the Symposium on Democracy kickoff event. If someone had told my first-year self that I would give a Tom Talk, I wouldn’t have believed them, because I was so frightened of public speaking then. However, through my many class presentations, I was able to improve my public speaking skills so much that I felt ready and excited to give a Tom Talk.

“I think the Magellan is an incredible opportunity unique to W&J’s students,” she said. “It gave me the experience and courage I needed to be able to travel and use my language skills without worry, and I think everyone should take advantage of it.”

After being at a large school that felt institutionalized, I knew that I needed to go to a small school that was personable like W&J. W&J cares about each individual student, and they have educational programs like no other.
